Our first trip to Turkey was greatly enhanced by this hotel. We found it in Guide Michelin(Turquie et Istanbul) and we were not disappointed. A seaside room for three, a balcony, and breakfast on the roof as well as an apero in the afternoon. Hotel staff is very friendly, giving all information needed, and providing different types of services. Excellent... More

Hotel staff is very friendly, giving all information needed, and providing different types of services. Excellent service provided with reasonable cost. Very good breakfast with amazing view of Sea of Marmara, different types of breads, lots of jelly, and fresh fruit juices. 10-15 minutes walking distance from main tourist attractions, and lots of restaurants nearby.

The hotel is in a great location in the old part of Sultanahmet - close enough to everything you want to visit and yet far enough away to get some respite from the usual tourist touts. We were a group of five coming from different places and arriving at different times. The hotel managed the arrangements - and the occasional... More

This was a wonderful hotel and the service and quality of everything I experienced was superb. I had 2 rooms here since we arrived as a couple and my wife went home the next day so I transferred to a single room (actually another double but at a reduced rate). I don't travel with my own computer so it was... More

Firstly, before anything, this place is in the part of Sultanahmet (old part of Istanbul) that is at the bottom of a hill. And while the walk to the Hippodrome (centre of Sultanahmet) is only 10 minutes, it can be strenuous if you don't have good shoes - so come prepared. Now, the good bits - you get fantastic hospitality... More

We spent our first 6 nights in Istanbul in Saruhan. We loved the hotel as it was located in a slightly less touristy part of Sultanahmet. There were plenty of original Ottoman style houses around, tiny winding streets, kids playing and local shops as well as nice low key tourist restaurants. It was a nice mix. The breakfasts were wonderful... More

good value for money. very nice reception, good English. nice turkish breakfast. if your windows are facing the sea, the mullah from the mosque can disturb a little about 5:30. and the football players till midnight. maybe a little bit too far from Sulatanhmet metro station, but colourful turkish district. overall very good opinion.

The rooms were very comfortable and the location was quiet. If you're looking for a busy hostel this is not the right area, but otherwise the all the mosques and the tram are walking distance and the breakfast is very good. However the hotel is hard to find for taxi drivers and this was the only annoyance.

Good location, especially if you travel by car, easy to acces from main route. Istanbul is all about hills, up and down, might be a little dificult to walk if you travel with small kids. From the hotel in five minutes you reach Blue mosque Sultanahmet Camii, from where you can take tramway. Or you can just explore the streets... More

We stayed here during winter, and were blown away by the experience. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean, with a lovely spacious balcony where you can enjoy the city or sea view (depending on your choice). The location is quite convenient as well, near the Sultanahmet tram station. Plus you can simply walk around to visit some famous... More
