We were a bit apprehensive at first as could not find any reviews on this hotel, however when we arrived we were very pleased with our room and the welcome from the staff there. Our room, no.10 had a small balcony which overlooked a quiet street and houses across the street with friendly neighbours who gave us a wave. The room was basic but very clean with comfortable beds and soft duvets. Small clean newly tiled bathroom but always had hot water and fairly good pressure shower. We had looked at a few other hotels and hostels and found this to be much the best value for Istanbul.
The breakfast was the typical Turkish breakfast with olives, tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, bread, warm boiled eggs, little sponge cakes and these lovely cheese filo pastry rolls. It was a buffet so you could select what you preferred and help yourself to juice and tea or coffee. Breakfast was served in the upstairs roof terrace which had super views of the sea and of the Blue Mosque.
