I highly recommend Agora GH! :-) The staff there are fabulous. Cem took care of all my travel questions and helped me with reservations for connecting travel. Mustafa gave me a wake up call so I wouldn't miss my plane (again!). Volkan bakes for a wicked breakfast spread. And the hostel/hotel is fabulous, too. It's cozy, even in winter, and... more

I stayed at the Agora hostel/guesthouse for three nights. My sister and I stayed in an ensuite but the hostel part looked nice too. The room was small but had a large comfortable bed, clean linens, flatscreen tv, big windows and the washroom was amazing. It was clean and safe and I would definitely stay here again. They had dvds... more

Agora is a great place! There are numerous possibilities in Agora like free internet, a rooftop place to hang out, make some tea or watch movies..and at the reception you can even change you money to turkish liras. It is located in the centre of Istanbul and it takes you minutes walking to get to Istanbul must see locations. Other... more

We were there for a few days and we noticed the first day people are warm and forthcoming but we hadn't even suspected how much. By day 3-4 we were like at home and amongst friends. They even went far beyond their duties when we needed it and unfortunately, we did need some extra help due to car trouble. So... more

Stayed here our first night when my first choice, the Osmanhan was full. There is some sort of connection between the hotels - possibly the same owner and they are about 30 metres apart. The staff were welcoming, the double room although on the road, was quiet and very clean, with a newly renovated bathroom. I was a littel worried... more

The service of the hotel is what I liked the most. We were traveling in a large group of friends, 27 of us, and from the moment we came in the hotel to the moment we checked out and left we were AT HOME. At least, that's how it fealt. On top of the home like atmosphere, the third day... more

This was the best accomodation! We have been travelling through europe for 2 months staying in twin, double rooms and this is the best place we stayed. Super clean, great bathroom, really close to bars, shops in sultanahmet and about a 5 minute walk to the blue mosque, hagia sofia etc. The staff were AWESOME, really friendly and helpful, Volkan... more

Overall Agora was a pleasant stay for us in Istanbul. It has a great location - close to Sultanamet tram station and behind the Blue Mosque. So most attractions are a 10-15 walk from the hotel. The rooms are of a decent size and ours overlooked the Bosphorus, which was very nice. Breakfast is served on the terrace and the... more
