First, Hot Suites Taksim is probably not the place to stay for the first time visitor to Istanbul. It is not located in the historic part of the city, Sultanahmet, but in a more commercial area called Taksim. We are currently staying at Hot Suites for a 4 night stay. Room has been clean and quiet with good service daily. Bed is a bit firm but otherwise have slept well. We had a great experience...3-nights. The staff was warm and accommodating. The location is ideal for independent travelers. When we were lost, the staff took us in hand and walked us to the dining spot.
