My exprience with this hotel was wonderful. During my honeymoon in turkey I stayed there for last night. I later regretted the stay was only for just one day. The pool & spa was amazing. This hotel is well connected through the tram service. It is right opposite tram station & tram takes you to , Grand Bazar, Spice Market,... more

The one good thing was the check-in; pleasant, quick and they allowed us an early check-in as well. But their claims they renovated in 2003 don't apply to the no smoking floor I guess as rooms are tiny, central air/heat doesn't work, TV is ancient and sound was awful (they couldn't fix it), and every time you showered you got... more

Holiday Inn Istanbul is not in the main tourist area, so it is a bit cheaper. The tram stops right outside, and the trams are very frequent and cheap, so we actually thought the location was very convenient. We bought an Akbil tram token pass to make it even more convenient. We found the hotel staff very helpful when we... more

I had to stay in this hotel during a Business Visit to Istanbul. We were a group of 5 who stayed in the hotel and all of us have the same opinoin. When we checked in there was no mention about advance amount or something. One fine day they blocked our rooms saying we have not done any payment and... more

We stayed here for 4 nights and although the hotel claims to be a 5 star the service we received was anything but high. #Negatives -20/30mins away from the main tourist areas and requires a tram or taxi ride to get to them. Therefore, in bit of a dead area of Istanbul. - Poor security and surveillance led to our... more

I didn't pay to stay at the Holiday Inn because I'd accumulated enough points - and thank goodness for that! It's pricey - very pricey for its location which, albeit central and nice, isn't exactly in the centre and a taxi home at night from the other side of Galata Bridge is going to cost you 20 Turkish liras. That... more

The hotel is really nice and comfortable, the room clean and silent (except when the muezzin prayed!). We also tried the hammam and it has been a wonderful experience, it was all for the two of us, free of charce. The only thing we regretted was being massaged (painful!), but if you go there not asking for treatments, you'll be... more

Out of the main city centre but adjacent to the tram system so very easy to get around to the various sites and easy to get to and from the airport, about half an hour. We had an early morning flight back so that was just great. Reception was a little slow as only one person on but staff very... more

I think it's hard to wholeheartedly recommend this hotel because it doesn't seem as "polished" as HIs in Europe can be. But there are some big pros as well: PROS: 1) Great location for someone like me--I don't want to be out at the airport hotels, but I also don't want to take an hour to get to and from... more

I did a lot of research and chose this for location... The tram was great...stopped outside and took us to all the key sights. Just hide your wallet on the crowded tram...mine was pickpocketed in the crush. Easy to get to airport by tram and metro...and only 2,6 lira each. The hotel reception was friendly and gave good advice. Room... more
