Why is it people write reviews when they only have bad comments to make? We were a party of 4 plus one baby and had a deal for 5 days 4 nights. It's location is great - not central yet 20 mins from Sultanamet. The tram station is just opposite and runs up to midnight. It costs 1.50TLR for a... more

G20 finance meeting was on so city was packed. This is too far away although the tram (crowded and hot) will get you to Blue Mosque in 20 mins for next to nothing. I enjoyed the pool, We had an enormous room with a crazy bathroom. You had to leap about 2 feet high to get into the shower. Others... more

The hotel is barely inside the city gates, which is the middle of nowhere (20 minutes by Tram or 30 minutes by Taxi from the Old Historic Center where everything is. Rooms stunk of mildew, walpaper peeling in the halls, Outragously noisy in the front room and tolerable in the back rooms. The restaurant tries to be European/american gourmet but... more

We were lucky enough to have a suite with 2 rooms and a bathroom. The only strange thing about it was that we had an enormous jacuzzi and shower in the bedroom. I sampled the hammam and had the scrub and soap treatment which were excellent. The hammam is mixed so the lady who gave me the treatment had to... more

I stayed here with my son using my HI points. This means that meals (breakfast) are not included. If you are on this type of package, don't take your breakfast here, it is madly expensive in a city where meals can be really inexpensive. The hotel has an outdoor pool, but we were there in February, so it was too... more

The hotel is located about 20 minutes away from the airport on one of the main tram route in Istanbul. But basically it is in the middle of nowhere, there is nothing to do around it. The closest place to eat something (besides the hotel restaurant) is about 500 meters away and you can buy water and sweets across the... more

This hotel has been rated 5* on some sites. It is not a 5*. it is a nice hotel, location is very good & staff are generally very good. I stayed for 6 nights on business. I liked that the tram stop was directly outside so it made getting around Istanbul very easy. Taxi's are expensive there so it's best... more

My exprience with this hotel was wonderful. During my honeymoon in turkey I stayed there for last night. I later regretted the stay was only for just one day. The pool & spa was amazing. This hotel is well connected through the tram service. It is right opposite tram station & tram takes you to , Grand Bazar, Spice Market,... more

The one good thing was the check-in; pleasant, quick and they allowed us an early check-in as well. But their claims they renovated in 2003 don't apply to the no smoking floor I guess as rooms are tiny, central air/heat doesn't work, TV is ancient and sound was awful (they couldn't fix it), and every time you showered you got... more

Holiday Inn Istanbul is not in the main tourist area, so it is a bit cheaper. The tram stops right outside, and the trams are very frequent and cheap, so we actually thought the location was very convenient. We bought an Akbil tram token pass to make it even more convenient. We found the hotel staff very helpful when we... more
