I have to admit I was a little worried before we got to this hotel - partly because of some of the reviews on here and partly because it seemed rather on the cheap side! (£130 for both of us for 4 nights) Didn't have anything to worry about though - admittedly this hotel is a little worn and tired... more
Just returned from Sokullu Pasa Hotel where we spent an unforgettable week. Maybe my time there was just too happy to notice anything bad around me, but the hotel seemed nice. It really felt like home. It was winter time, but the room was heated well enough. What we wished though is that the restaurant had a wider variety of... more
We have just returned from a week at Sokullu Pasha. We were looking for a small hotel in a typical ottoman house and that's exactly what we found. Charming atmosphere, courtesy in all the services and fantastic position very closed to all important monuments in Sultanahmet. Only the neighbourhood is not so well preserved and the position is quite difficult... more
Situated within a few minutes of major tourist atractions - Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, as well as the tram line connecting to the airport. However, it was quite difficult to find the hotel in the small and hilly streets of Sultanahmet, with all the suitcases to carry. The first room we were showed to was at the fourth floor... more
First let me say that the staff was very helpful. This hotel was OLD and not in a good way. It is shabby. It has no elevator, and we were on the third floor. The water in the hotel is not drinkable, so we had to use bottle water to brush our teeth. The hotel is in the old quarter... more
My wife and I spent one week in this lovely hotel. The best thing about it is its location within a walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topkapi palace, kutshuk Aya Sophia (or little Saint Sophia), the very beautiful Sokullu Mosque and much more historical sites. The place really deserves its denomination of "charming hotel" because this is... more
Don't stay at this hotel !!!! The rooms and hotel are in dire need of work (very old and run down). The breakfast was terrible unless you like olives tomatoes cucs and hard boiled eggs. (I know you don't stray at a hoel just for the breakfast). My one room was on the top floor and had a methane gas... more
I stayed in this hotel in September with my husband and it was a wonderful choice. It is 5 minutes walk from Aya Sofya just a short walk (up a hill) and you are at the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome. Was one of the very best hotels we stayed in during our trip. Can't wait to go back. The hotel... more
