The hotel is in good location in Taksim Square, citiy center. BUT it has a big problem nowadays: there are constructions (new hotels) on all 3 sides of it and they run it 24 hours a day, you can't sleep in most of the rooms. Hotel is in a good place for business or shopping, but not ideal for the famous sights of Istanbul. Traffic is so bad you will spend your stay in a taxi! I would not recommend the Aygun Plaza: it could be anywhere on earth & is badly in need of renovation (the carpeting in my room looked old & quite filthy; the furniture was nothing to write home about, either).
