We stayed at the Richmond in August for four nights and are overall very pleased with our stay. The hotel is clean, the rooms spacious, cleaning services are good, the staff speak good english and the breakfast is adequate (could need more variety). The best thing about this hotel is its location - it is situated right on isticlal caddeci... more

The Richmond Hotel is situated near Tunel on the main street leading to Taksim. It is perfectly located by shops, restaurants and public transportation. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The best part is the rooftop breakfast room and the rooftop... more

Great hotel, clean, friendly etc and the location was fanastic. Right on the busiest street for shopping, food etc. Thought it might be noisy but it wasn't. Good breakfast as well with a nice buffet with a good choice of food- would absolutely say again. more

I turned up at the reception here with 2 suitcases & a 5-year-old having walked out of my last hotel. Luckily they had a room for the 2 nights I needed, at a reasonable rate. The main areas are spacious & clean and the staff friendly, a little too friendly for my poor daughter who had her hair constantly stroked... more

At the start of the trip we stayed at the Marmara in Taksim and had a great experience but due to a Formula One event taking place on the... more

A business contact booked me into the Richmond for a total of four nights. Yes the taxi can indeed bring you right to the hotel (even on a Sat afternoon), they just need to know which alley is the correct one to get there. The hotel also called one for me to go to the airport, which was a metered... more

I stayed at the Richmond for 5 nights in March '05. Great location on Istiklal Cadessi - not a touristy area - with good cafes, bars, restaurants, shopping, small galleries, nightlife... and without the constant harrassment you can get in the tourist traps. This is a fantastic location if you want to be at the center of Istanbul's hip, cosmopolitan,... more

It is the most crowded shopping area in Istanbul with cinemas, bars, restaurants, cafes etc Its non stop till early morning. The Richmond is situated towards the Tunel end, An Old Tram runs up and down and can be fun to ride. The... more
