We stayed here for 5 nights with friends and family as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was our first visit to Istanbul and our Turkish (soon to be) in-laws booked us into the hotel. Had we been trying to find a hotel ourselves, as tourists, we would not have thought of staying in this part of Istanbul but we are definitely going to go back as tourists and would definitely stay here again.Kadikoy has some places of interest in itself (e.g. Florence Nightingale's hospital) and is across the Bosphorus on the Asian side of Istanbul, away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, but with a regular and cheap ferry service across the river. There is a pleasant river frontage with lots of cafes and some great shops and restaraunts further back into the town. The Dila is close to the ferry, not expensive and, as most of the hotels on this side of the river, is probably mainly used by business persons. We stayed B&B, the breakfast was good - buffet style.
