Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is not too near to the attractions, not the nicest place in Istanbul, but it is not a big problem. The problem, that the bathroom was smelly, the darker curtains was not enough, so there was light early in the morning. The terrace was dirty, and there was only one glass for three person. (There were 5 cups, but we don't like drink Raki or beverages from cup.) Beds are not comfortable. All the apart was more neglected than two years ago.

Seriously,we're still unable to fathom how so many people on several web pages happened to love this apartments! The staff are really nice and thoughtful, and their English is alright, but apart from that and the classy decoration in the rooms, there's nothing else me and my three mates could see as a strong point. First of all,the area is the roughest we saw in a 5-day stay in the city,no question. The levels of poverty make you think of Indian slums, and barefoot children begging you for money at night make you sad. Now the rooms; who provides with a toaster and kettle but forgets plates? We had to use packaging as cereal bowls and bought tablespoons ourselves, they just give you teaspoons. The pipes smell big time every time you get into the loo, and the beds are 60% of them sofa beds, despite being advertised as proper beds. We aren' t snobby at all,we like things to be no-frills,but you mustn't accept these standards when you're paying quite some dosh for such poor accommodation

The apartments were v.reasonable in price. Easy walk to the ferry terminal at Eninonu . The Kitchen was poorly equipped for both cooking and eating. Beds were comfortable and rooms a decent size. Shower-toilet was roomy and water piping hot.Sheets and blankets- a single cover- all we needed as it was both warm and humid at night.Stiffish warm wind on balcony sitting area but nice to sit and drink our beer before going uptown for our evening meal. Local kebab and bread shop very reasonable. The owners were very pleasant and helpful.Apt cleaned daily. The area around the apts is very run down, litter strewn and there were about 50 Iranian homeless who bedded down by the appts nightly. They were no bother to us apart from a bit of noise from the children from time to time

My wife and I traveled to Istanbul for the first time and knew we wanted to stay in a neighborhood that would allow us to walk to key sights etc. We chose this hotel and we were not disappointed at all. The hotel itself is great. Very clean and our room was very charming with lovely decor and comfortable beds. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. I would highly recommend Galata Bridge Apartment to anyone visiting this unique city.
