They always tried to help me , whenever i complaint . (Not about hotel but the traffic and stuff) And the view of the rooms were very... more

The Daphnis hotel is a cute and historic hotel that's right next to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. It consists of 100 year old rum houses that were converted into a hotel. Despite the historical value, the hotel is equipped with great wifi. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. I was not tripping over my suitcase all the time. The rooms... more

The Daphnis Hotel was perfect for my trip to Istanbul! The beds each had a down comforter and were extremely comfortable. The service was very hospitable - welcoming us every time we walked through the door and always more than willing to help with any task. The Daphnis Hotel was a relaxing, quiet, and homey place to come back to... more

I've stayed at the Daphnis on a couple of occasions, and may only complaint was with the size of my single room on my second visit. (It was narrow and awkward.) I suppose I have another complaint: the showers take some getting used to. Aside from that, the view of the Golden Horn is glorious, the proximity to the Ecumenical... more

I stayed at the hotel as part of a group recently and cannot wait to go back! It is a charming very cozy little place perfectly situated right across from the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Our room had a beautiful view of the Golden Horn and was delightfully decorated a la New World 1920s. The staff was absolutely delightful and by the... more

The only negative thing about the Daphnis Hotel is the size of the bathrooms. The rooms are nicely decorated, the quaint sitting area was clean, the staff was VERY friendly and the food was EXCELLENT! I was there with a group of 20 and everyone had the same feeling. If you have a chance -- eat a dinner at the... more

First, the faults: the reception, other than its manager who only works limited hours, speaks no English at all, which is not an insurmountable problem if you are well prepared (have booking at hand etc), but certainly good to know and be prepared! The facilities are not luxury - the bed is lumpy, the breakfast is slightly dodgy, the bathroom... more

We picked this Hotel from the StyleCity guide series and quickly have seen that it just did not belong. Don't arrive at night, you may think you will be beat up in some alley. Furthermore, the night concierge speaks no English. Scary. However, amusing, as he looks like a youg Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. We picked the Suite but... more

Hotel Daphnis is clean. Like many hotels, there are lots of stairs to climb as there is no lift. You can have a view of the river....as long as you don't object to the heavy traffic noise. Breakfast is included but they wait until you come down before they start brewing the coffee. Means the coffee is fresh but it... more
