I read reviews about the "Grand Hilarium" only after I had booked our 3 night stay. I hoped that the people who had written reviews about the hotel had exaggerated...... but they hadn't. the most horrible hotel ever!! small dirty rooms' with no air-conditioning or noisy ones...dirty repulsive bathrooms, unpleasnt staff, tiny cold pool, most horrible breakfas, badly located, noisy, windows facing inner corridors, disgusting hote, not a 4 star hotel, rather a 1 star if at all-do not stay there! horrifying experience, utterly disgusting! more

Bad service. The hotel look like it lacks maintenance. Bathroom in bad conditions, TV almost not working, electricity problems. Avoid it!!! more

although the hotel was physically nice, newish and clean, public ares like the lobby and hallways were kept unlit and not air conditioned. the pool was out of use for more thatn 50% of the time. The staff, except for a very sweet chamber maid, were INCREDIBLY unhelpful and unpleasant, bordering on nasty. With so many hotels to choose from... more
