As one reviewer remarked, it is like a huge conference centre. It was also full of very noisy children so some people got no sleep as they were running around all night. The dining room was a nightmare because of all the noise but the food was wonderful! I can taste it now! We were very lucky. We had a huge... More

Have stayed here twice on family trips to the Dead Sea/Massada. 16 of us, long drive north to south, arrive tired each time. This place is a gem; basic rooms with air con (VITAL in the summer months if you're not aware) Food is good, we always have breakfast and dinner, value for money, give it a try.

As one of the Youth Hostels in Israel, this one is with very high level atmosphere, location and look. Food is in the level of the place and we enjoyed 2 nights besides the Massada wit nice building, yard and facilities.

Great location just below the Massada fortress, clean and decent rooms, reconstructed hotel, provides rich buffet dinner/breakfast, nice view on the Dead Sea. This hotel exceeded our expectations, each room with a ketle for tea/coffee, it is a value for money. Helpful staff.

For a youth hostel, a really great place to stay. We had a private room including a very nice bathroom, just like a hotel. A rather new facility with rooms overlooking the Dead Sea from a small patio. The dining hall food was OK but seemed like college food service. We were disappointed that the pool was closed already when... More

Beautiful and conveniently located only for visiting the impressive Massada complex, this hostel is a must and the pride of sionist Israel. The premises are clean and confortable though the hordes of youngsters visiting the hostel can make the stay a bit hard. Of course one could argue that a Youth Hostel is for youth, right, but hey why did... More

Perfect location for sunrise walk to Massada and if you have a rental car fine for the dead sea too. Its in the middle of nowhere so if coming by public transport im not sure how that'd work. I went to the pool twice and it was really nice. Walk to massada took us 45 mins of serious struggling and... More

Me and my wife stayed at this 'hostel' for 1 night in mid-March, specifically to do the sunrise walk. For our purposes, it was great value - the accommodation was not fancy, but more than expected of a hostel. Clean and comfortable, spacious enough for 2 people. The reception staff were very helpful with buses, restaurant information, general tourist information.... More

We realised there is not much accommodation on the Dead Sea except at Ein Boqeq. The guest house is part of the IYHA. it is really a big step up from a youth hostel and is literally the only accommodation at Massada. Our room was spacious, not luxurious, but well appointed. A balcony with a beautiful view over the Dead... More
