I went there with my husband right after our wedding (we are Israelis) and were bitterly disappointed from the rooms. The last time they were redecorated was in the 80s or something. The place was clean though. We paid the equivelent of 200$ per night and it was worth half the price. I don't know how they aren't embarrassed to... more

The communication with Ein Gedi is a nightmare. We made a reservation through the Kibbutz website which was confirmed in May for four rooms for four nights. About two weeks before the arrival we reconfirmed with Ein Gedi and were told we had no reservation and there are no availabilities. So we choose a different resort and only went to... more

We stayed 3 nights at Ein Gedi Resort Hotel. We booked a "Botanical Garden Room". It was roomy and had TV, AC, coffeemaker, hairdryer and safe. The room was quiet at night but the bathroom was not the cleanest. On Saturday (sabbat) we had only our towels changed, but the room was not made up otherwise. We were told that... more

I just returned from a 3-day trip at the Dead Sea, where I made the grave mistake of booking the "romantic room" (anything but that) on the Ein Gedi Country Hotel, to spend a quality weekend with my girlfriend (27-29/3). It is by far one of the worst places I've ever been to and I would sincerely advise anyone against... more

Don't expect a fancy room and a Las Vegas spa. But do expect probably the best dinner and breakfast buffets you'll find in Israel, plus a wonderful time at the Dead Sea. Two experiences not to be missed: the kibbutz/botanical garden morning tour with Daniella, and a tour of the ancient synagogue led by Yehuda, who was involved in its... more

I have stayed in the Ein Gedi Kibbutz Guest House about 5-6 times now, and I think I am way behind in giving this hotel a well-deserved mention. This time, we stayed at the Kibbutz for 2 nights, and were booked into a regular garden-view room. We arrived at about 1pm, and were told our room was not ready. However,... more

We stayed one night in one of the upper Arugot rooms. Unfortunately not in one of those that have stunning views into the canyon. We looked into some trees. Nevertheless the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything necessary. Only down point: you can hear your neighbours talk through the wall. The spa on the dead sea is a 5-10 min.... more

We stayed in this place having booked a room at the last minute after being badly let down by the Massada Guest House. It was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious (one of the dishes was among my top 3 from the entire trip). The room was spacious, and whilst basic had all the things we needed, including tea and... more

Beautiful, oasis setting in the middle of the desert. Great breakfasts and dinners (may be best to be on plan that includes breakfast and dinner as limited dining options in the area). There is a huge pool as well as free access to Ein Gedi spa (swim in Dead Sea, mud baths, sulfur pools), fifteen minutes by car to Masada.... more

This is the best location to stay in the Dead Sea. Took my parents around the country(wife is Israeli) and this was also there favorite of the trip. The views, the gardens to walk around, the pool all make the heat disappear. There is a out door bar which during the evening was so pleasant it felt more like a... more
