We stayed at this hotel for one night as a part of an Isramworld Tour. The hotel is badly deteriorating. We found the lobby and public areas dark, dusty, with scarred furniture and worn out floors. Our room was not quite clean; the furniture was old and scarred - straight out of a Salvation Army thrift store. The front desk... more

We were told it had been renovated, and it was beautiful, it was a 5 star IMO. Robes, slippers, beautiful bathroom, and flatscreen tv. The view of the Bahia Gardens below, and the Hiafa port couldn't have been better! Just one of 3 Dan hotels doing our week stay. more

The good points: superb views of Haifa both day and night, very near the wonderful Bahai Shrine and gardens, the doorman was one of the best ever encountered, the staff in the executive lounge were superb and the staff in the main lounge were also pleasant The bad points: Don't bother to ask Reception to do anything for you be... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my wife and will never return. The lobby is shabby, the color selection is cheap and highly unattractive, with stained sofas and armchairs. The bar area is very unappealing. The view to the bay is obstructed by tall pine trees right infront of your eyes, with a miserably small porch. There... more

Disappointing stay. Definitely not a five star by international standards, more like four. Breakfast very boring, looked like previous night's leftovers, no smoked salmon or prepared fresh fruit which is available in other 5* establishments in Israel, mushy tinned fruit salad or pineapple. Only limited selection of breads. Staff on reception useless at giving advice on how to reach local... more

We stayed overnight whilst travelling down the coast. How some tour operators give this 5 stars beats me. Our Executive Bay View room had undergone a recent 'soft' renovation - ie new curtains, carpet and bedding and there was a new plasma TV - and the view was spectacular. However, the furniture was old and a bit tatty as was... more

We booked this hotel as part of a tour with ISRAM for 15 days. We traveled all through Israel and stayed at several other hotels, including the Dan Carmel in Haifa. Very run down, musty and the ONLY thing that was really great was our view from our room. Fortunately we were there overnight, but we would not recommend it... more

If you are looking to shed $250 a night for an unremarkable experience in a hotel desperately in need of renovation and redesign, look no further – this is the hotel for you. Coming from New York and having spent a few vacations in luxury hotels, my wife and I are used to expensive hotels. However, with all due respect,... more

Adequate hotel on Mt. Carmel, not much in the way of ambience, but the breakfast buffet was great, and the views are wonderful. Lobby and rooms look a little old and could use some remodeling, but overall it was a fine place to stay for the night. Friendly staff and hotel has a small shopping mall on the first floor. more

We stayed for one night on a tour. The room was nice, but a bit worn. Food was great. The location is amazing; great views, walking distance to the Baha'i Gardens and the nicer area of Haifa. The pool was a bit dirty and had missing tiles. more
