This hotel was a disaster. We were booked in a deluxe room for which we paid a premium. From the doorway, the room looked beautiful. It quickly proved to be a mirage. The closet hangers were placed so high, it was impossible for my wife to hang up her clothes and not easy for me--I am over 6' tall. The... more

We stayed in the Mamilla hotel in Nov/Dec 2009. Excellent staff and sevrice. Pool still unfinished. Rooftop restauurant also not finished. Great location. The biggest problem is the MULTIPLE DESIGN ERRORS in the rooms. The glass walls of the bathroom allow enough light to escape (even with the windows rendered opaque by their cool technology); this will wake your spouse... more

It has nice design which is definitely not intended for comfort staying. The corridors are hardly lightened and together with huge black metallic doors resemble some kind of prison. The rooms are not too big, the idea with clear/opaque glass in the bathroom is nice but the button that changes it is not marked at all, so many of the... more

I've had this conversation with my decorator countless times: yes, it looks good but it doesn't work well for living! That's the Mamilla Hotel. It's gorgeous, minimalist to a fault, low light, no hooks for hanging, a giant tub that takes up room better used in the bedroom area, good luck if you drop something behind the sink! It's stark,... more

Mamilla hotel obviously conceived to serve short people who do not demand service or expect to be served. The beds are about a foot off the floor. They provide precisely one bathtowel per room. The service is absymal, utterly absymal. There is no interest in your wishes. I called room service and requested two cognacs, waited a half an hour,... more

The new Mamilla hotel (opposite it's sister David Citadel) sits on a great spot next to the entrance to the Old city and a short stroll from the new center. The hotel basicly has a very upscale marketing, but currently doesn't live up to this. As we staid here a few months after opening, I was expecting everything to run... more

This is hotel is brand new and ultra modern. The rooms were beautiful with some very unique features. They were so new that the service was not yet completely there but they tried really hard. more
