Came with 4 other families for a group tour. The rooms were better than i expected, The Dinner food was not bad, but the breakfast was boring.. although the food was all tasty, it was all the same everyday and never switched up. the Shabbat Lunch was very nice, although shortage of Challah?? very odd. The Front Desk service was... More

The location of this hotel is superb. It is in walking distance of nearly everything and if you can't walk to your destination, hop the light rail that's about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself looks pretty outdated, but it felt like a throwback look. Old everything except TV, but it was charming. Our room was... More

We have stayed at the King Solomon every time we've been to Israel (about 8 times since 2001), and it has improved. Now there is Wifi throughout the hotel, and the reception desk personal are much more personable. Also WIlliam, the wonderful piano player, is still there and delights and soothes the soul with his wonderful renditions. The hotel has... More

Not a cheap choice so a disappointment overall. Free wifi was good and the room was a good size. Fridge not ver effective. Two bottles of water provided. The bar is poorly staffed and one night we gave up waiting to be served after 20 mins despite the concierge saying the waiter had been told to attend. Advice about which... More

The last time we stayed at the King Solomon was nearly 30 years ago and since that time we had continued to hear about "nice location, decent rooms but awful service." Due to a change of plans and needing a room in Jerusalem at the last minute, we walked into the King Solomon and offered a room at a rate... More

I feel, although I have reviewed this hotel last April; that I should respond again to all those who feel the hotel is good, and the food is good. This is just not so! We are tour group leaders, and will NEVER subject our groups again to this hotel. The food is perhaps barely passable, if you only stay for... More

I recently stayed at the King Solomon Hotel in Jerusalem for 8 nights as part of a tour. It was a great home base for that long of a stay. The room was spacious with excellent closet space. The bathroom was also sufficient. Check in and check out went smooth. Housekeeping was good. Anything we called for was accomplished. The... More

I stayed here for 9 days with a JWRP trip. The room was nice, housekeeping was great, the hairdryer in the bathroom was more than adequate, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel provides an orthodox experience if you want it--kosher food, shabbat meals, and a shabbat elevator. But things don't shut down for Shabbat--the regular elevators still run, and... More

A comfortable hotel just a short walk to the Old City, the new Mamila mall and other sites of interest. We walked to Ben Yehuda and the the Mahane Yehuda market as well. Pleasant staff, great Israeli breakfast daily and good housekeeping. Plentiful amenities, flat screen TV, hair dryer and hand-held shower made the stay pleasant. The pool looked inviting... More
