A group of girls and I decided to check into the Regency for the weekend as a treat for a birthday. The hotel actually isnt far from where we live so the drive behind the choice was a recommendation about their spa. The value was amazing especially for this time of year. We had such a great time. The outdoor... more

This was definitely a nice hotel, very simple, comfortable, and clean. A little pricey, but not any more than the others in the area. We stayed in a corner room that was nice and quiet, but a little far from the “view” of Jerusalem that I would have loved to see from my balcony. We enjoyed the pool, except for... more

Having taken large groups of Church members to Israel in the last 5 years I am used to putting up with sloppy, impersonal service and subrate rooms in Jerusalem's larger hotels The Regency was different. The service was so personal, with each person feeling special. The hotel was packed with Jewish people, but we were felt very welcome and special... more

Having visited Israel for Sukkoth the last 15 years we were suprised and happy to hear that the Regency was under new management with prices at near half those of other large hotels in the area. My wife was unsure of booking in the hotel having read some of the reviews on this site, especially as we were travelling with... more

My family and I travelled from Lancaster PA to Israel for the High Holidays. The Regency came out far cheaper than all the other hotels and we were assured it was under new management and having a turn around in its affairs. We could not be happier. The staff were polite an helpful, the food was delicious, the spa was... more

The internet is not available in all floors. There is no iron in the room. The room service costs about $3 for bringing the essentials that are missing in the room. There is no coffee machine in the room. The room is not being vacumed and cleaned every day.The breakfast and the staff at the lounge are the only ray... more

We were guaranteed a five star hotel when we booked with the tour. The Regency from our experience did not fall into that category. Our bedroom was dingy. Cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, old bath and shower over bath. The air conditioning was noisy. There was no welcome tray - if you wanted drinks you had to pay extra.... more

The Regency Jerusalem Hotel is a huge place with an empty atmosphere. It is noisy as there are weddings, Bar-Mitzvahs and other parties going on all the time. The standard room though not cramped does not have a kettle to make a hot drink, the TV has very few channels with a bad picture. Although the staff are helpful IE.... more

As I decided to attend a convention in Jerusalem, I had to stay two nights in the city. Meetings were held at the Regency Hotel (the former Hyatt Hotel) and that's where we stayed as well. The hotel is located on Mt Scopus, about 25 minutes from the Old City by car. The hotel is very large. The Lobby is... more

Last week was our wedding anniversary. After hearing the Regency was under new management and hearing good reviews from friends I decided to take my wife to Jerusalem (we live in North Israel, having moved here ten years ago from Manchester UK) for a week to relax and play tourists. When I booked the room I casually mentioned it was... more
