We chose 3 Arches because of location and that is perfect. However, the first room we were shown had not been made up.(after reservation made 3 months in advance) the bathroom was filthy and the room was musty, the safe did not close and it was the last room at the end of a long hall. After going to reservation... more

Stayed here for 4 nights, in rooms costing $85 each booked through booking.com. A little faded but clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The restaurant at other times had a reasonable range of food, though it was expensive (35 NIS for a bowl of soup).Wi Fi is available at $22 for 3 days. A very easy walk... more

Staff unpleasant and inefficient. Room had damp stains and dirty walls. Breakfast was miserable, minimal and basic. The lift clattered and shivered so we decided not to risk it. It's a miserable run down place in a central location. If you can find a vacancy, try the St Andrew's Scottish Guesthouse. It's modest and basic too, but the building lovely... more

All the staff were unhelpful and rude. We arrived early in the morning and exhausted to be told there were no rooms yet vacant and we would have to wait. No indication was given as to how long that would take and the reception staff appeared not to care. We returned three hours later to the same response from another... more

We stayed here for 3 nights as we liked the look of the building from the photographs advertised. The building is indeed very beautiful and attracts a wide range of visitors, given the origin of the place. The location is a 15 minutes walk from the Damascus gate and all you need to do is follow the wall up the... more

Well not impressed. Last time at that place. The YMCA is simply not up to it. No fridge. No hangers. Runned down bathroom. It is not a hotel any more - it is a Youth Hostel. Of the last 10 trips to Jerusalem this is the wost hotel I stayed at. more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the YMCA Three Arches hotel. The building itself has a fascinating history and is beautiful. The room was pleasant, large, well lit, and comfortable for the three adults in our family. Staff is pleasant and helpful. The view from the rooftop, if you can get access, is outstanding. The price seemed a bit high,... more

The YMCA is a historic building with impressive public areas. Sadly, the rooms are a little faded - but then you are paying significantly less than the King David over the road! The location is pretty central. more

Loved this place. Loved looking out at the King David, several hundred more expensive, but we had the view. Loved the outside restaurant, the diversity of people staying there, the lobby, the tower, the pool. Rooms were fair but all else made up for it. Location is great--10 minute walk to the old city. more

I stayed at the YMCA. The location is great and the front staff is very helpful. The hotel is old and the rooms need improvement. There is noise from the street and the construction. Basic hotel for the price. Has 24 hour security. Nice patio dinning. Breakfast is basic. more
