This is a nice place to stay if some one likes to be in the heart of Jerusalem Old City near Temple mount. Reaching there is also easy as this is near to Damascus Gate. The ambiance is good, staff is courteous and breakfast was a blend of arab-israeli-western food. Hot water is available round the clock and roof top... More

We were so excited to be in Jerusalem we probably could have slept on the street. This is not what we heard is a typical place for tours. Palestinians stay here, which we considered a good thing. Our room was basic but comfortable enough (after we got it changed from our first assignment right next to the kitchen). It is... More

The location of the property was ideal - right in the center of the old city. The staff, unfortunately, were far from ideal. Upon check-in we are asked to pay for the lodging in advance. The room charge was EU140.00 and I handed the manager EU150.00. The manager told me he did not have change, but that I would receive... More

Not wanting to sound too much like a Westerner expecting Western standards anywhere in the world, I neverthless need to add a somewhat different view on this hotel. A group of us stayed at the Hashimi Hotel and Hostel at the start and the end of a trip to the Holy Land. Though none of us expected nor needed four... More

I'd like to thank the owner - Saleh Hashimi and his staff for a wonderful stay at Hashimi hotel. We were a group of 3 ladies and they made us feel at home, safe and gave us great advise on what to see and where to eat. We stayed one night then came back 3 days later and stayed for... More

I am a wholly deaf solo traveller – on Monday 26th September 2011, I went to stay at the Hashimi Hotel and Hostel, Jerusalem Old City for 2 nights where I was able to explore in The Old City easily, including visiting some of my relatives in West Jerusalem for the evening dinner. After I walked through the Damascus Gates,... More

We enjoyed staying at the Hashimi hotel. The staff are very friendly and the roof top deck provided a sanctuary for daily tea away from the hectic city. The location is perfect and the rooms are clean, but small. More

A very mixed bag here as it will suit some & turn off most offering dorms & private rooms. It has a covered rooftop area with clear unobstructed views of the Rock on the Dome, Al Aqsa Mosque & much of the neighbourhood in the muslim quarter, stunning views at night. Unmarried couples must sleep on separate floors as the... More

I stayed at the Hashimi Hotel for two weeks in late September. I would unreservedlyy recommend this hotel. It is very clean, conveniently located in the Old City near the Damascus and New Gates, reasonably priced wirh accomodating service. I've read some bad reviews of this hotel which I fell are not deserved. I was not awaken once in my... More
