I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. We booked it on Kayak after seeing the 3-star rating which is a total lie. It's a one or two star at best. For starters, the place is filthy. The shower was covered in mold, the furniture literally falling apart (see photos), and the walls desperately in need of paint. The air... more

Hello everybody, My wife and myself have just returned from a week's holiday in Tel Aviv,Israel. Our chosen hotel was the 'Hotel Deborah' located at 87 Ben Yehuda Street which was very conveniently placed for the sea front and other parts of Tel Aviv City, and extremely handy for the local buses and also for the Sheruts(small van type taxi... more

I was there one night, March 25th, 2008. I didn't choose the place, rather my traveling companion had booked a room and had urged me to stay there as well. BAD CHOICE! The room reeked of smelly socks and had soiled covers on the bed. I opened the window to air out the place. I'm glad I didn't bring kids... more

Even from the front door on the street, this place had a bad smell. Walking up to the stairs to my room it got worse, I passed numerious damaged walls and holed carpet. I got into my room and it had this smell. What was it? I found a line of white powder behind the cabinet on the floor. Someone... more

This hotel was disgusting. We were in a group of people and 3 separate beds had either blood stained sheets(not changed) or blood stained mattress pads. Showers were cold and the curtains held back no water flooding the bathroom every time. One of our toilets didn't flush posing another problem. One of the elevators were broken on our trip and... more

The Deborah hotel had a broken elevator when we stayed in Tel Aviv...making the climb to the tenth floor a chore. The Sabbath Elevator was working, but was constantly filled, making a trip up & down to the room a 30 minute ordeal. The breakfast was decent, but the end time was enforced to a point where they lost sight... more

I enjoyed my full week stay at the Grand Deborah Hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. I have traveled in Europe, Mexico and the USA both as part of my work and for pleasure. What I liked about this hotel was primarily the atmosphere. I was reminded of an older and smaller European style hotel with tall... more

think the hotel is actually just refered to as the Deborah Hotel, which would make sense because there is nothing "grand" about it. Despite having an excelent location about a block from the beach, the property itself is old and shabby. Bathrooms are small, rooms are small. beds are uncomfortable, TV didn't have a remote. The cot they placed in... more
