I stayed at the Hotel Ami early in 2009, my first trip to Israel. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. It was a good value for the rate. more

The hotel Ami is located on Hayarkon Street, opposite from the Mediterranean promenade. The hotel is a bit hard to find since it is hidden between two others, but it IS there! Outside the hotel there is a parking lot which is fantastic for those renting a car (about 20 NIS, $5 per day). The lobby is tiny, the elevator... more

The room was clean... well only just. Very disappointing especially since we were paying $100 (US) a night. Location is great and thats the only reason that we didn't switch hotels! Staff were sometimes helpful, but the free car parking is a joke... really annoying and we were constantly being asked to switch our immobliser off every time we walked... more

Bad things about Hotel Ami: - One person in the lift at a time given your bags cannot fit too.. - Each room has a micro bathroom. Only room for the toilet, sink and shower, not you. - Staff aren't friendly and act as if they are doing you the favour. - Lack of communication between staff members. We were... more

I was a bit apprehensive about booking a room at the Ami after having read quite varying reviews about the place on the net, but I decided to try them anyway and I'm very happy that I did! First of all the location is excellent -- right in the middle of the beach hotel area and only a few minutes... more

Booked the Ami Hotel looking for an inexpensive place to stay on a Friday night. The positives: friendly staff, good bed and rooms were clean. The TV worked fine. The location was good - walking distance to the beautiful port area, Ben Yehuda, beach and restaurants. Negatives: Carpet was well worn, towels were small, hard and thread bare, there are... more

yes perhaps the hotel is a little worn, but all of the staff more than makes up for it. Very helpful and bending over backwards. They offer all they have and the Ritz it ain't. Been there twice and next week I will be there for a third time more

This was a cheap Hotel and in life you get what you pay for. The staff were very friendly but the rooms were not to any suitable standard. The walls were dirty and the bedding had holes in it. Not much else to say about the rooms. The breakfast was disgusting, there was very little to choose from and the... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, over the weekend of April 19/21. We deliberately chose a hotel in the lower price range and didn't expect luxury. The room was o.k., the bed very comfortable and the bathroom also o.k. The people at the reception were very nice. But the breakfast definitely was below anything we ever experienced! Stale... more
