On November 1, 2009 My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Ophir and this was a big mistake. The hotel was dirty and under quite a bit of construction. We regreted the minute we checked into our room because of the smell of paint on the walls, no screens on windows, and the room was very dirty. We asked... more

The location is great, breakfast was nice. On my 2nd day the room wasnt serviced and when I went to the airport I asked for a cab. The receptionist phoned and and because I was suspicious I asked if it were a regular cab. He said yes but as is turned out it was friend (it was still a regular... more

The website showed a fairly decent place, that didn´t cost too much. When we got there we didn´t get the room we´ve booked, we didnt get the price we expected, and the standard is lousy. ´ Some of the staff is trying to do their best to be polite, but most of them are like the manager and owner, unpolite,... more

Okay okay - the standard does not reach a 4 Star Hotel, okay people work here all the time to make the place more comfortable BUT the staff are very friendly, very helpful. What more can you expect for a price like that in the center of Tel Aviv? When I travel to Tel Aviv again I would stay again... more

It's characterful, the Ophir, true, not your standard-issue type of hotel at all. But our double room while a bit improvised as far as fittings and appearance goes (propped-up mirror on the sideboard, ancient TV, random furnishings), was roomy and clean and comfy, even if it didn't really resemble the glossy pix on the website. One day it wasn't serviced... more

The only good thing about this hotel is the Location and the name; but....shame it doen't deserve do be call a Hotel and certainly not 3*, it is more like a place for the home-less people. I book this Hotel for the price, description and PHOTOS on web-site (which is nothing like in reality), and because it was easy to... more
