at the most a 2 star, under construction/renovation/bar downstairs noizy all night long, lot's of traffic noice (honk, don't drive) up to the weeee hours, not recommended more

Okay okay - the standard does not reach a 4 Star Hotel, okay people work here all the time to make the place more comfortable BUT the staff are very friendly, very helpful. It's characterful, the Ophir, true, not your standard-issue type of hotel at all. Stayed at this so called hotel a week ago and its THE WORST PLACE EVER ! even the tourist info didnt reccommed it, the place was awful, they were installing air con right outside the bedroom at midnight !! had to ask reception to keep the noise down, asked them to ask the work being done at midnight to STOP... more

If we had to stay for more then the 8 hours to sleep prior to going home we would have hated it. It is substandard compared to American hotels. more like a pension for younger people. No elevator. Had to bring heavy luggage up outside flight of stairs, then manager gave us a first floor room because of our luggage.... more
