I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times, most recently September 2009. It's a good big-chain hotel. Even the basic rooms are spacious and comfortable, and although I didn't use it, my room had a flat-screen TV. We stayed here one night in September during Ramadan. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and many restaurants (even a Starbucks). Rooms facing Amman (south) have a nice view. I used to enjoy this place. No more. Like a lot of Meridiens, it badly needs refurbishing -- but that isn't the problem. The problem is the service. The staff are in serious need of retraining and an attitude transplant. I'll be in Amman again in November and I won't be staying here. more

Despite contemporary design in public areas, the rooms not only need refubrishment, but also have depressing colours specially the wall-to-wall carpets and curtains. The Club lounge recepionist failed to greet us upon entering the lounge, also when leaving it and lounge waiter does not smile, nor did he exert the effort of removing the wrappings from the canapes dishes. Stayed 2 nights. The 'communal' areas of this place are top notch, and the Lebanise poolside restaurant is possibly the best food I have had anywhere in the Middle East. Apart from the jacuzzi being hot enough to stew tea my only real gripe.Good food, very good value .Would stay there again and recomend without hesitation. more
