From 17-21 November 2009 we slept in the Palace hotel in Amman . We read the positive comments in Lonely Planet about attentive staff and guaranteed hot water. We paid 26JD for a double room. There was no hot water the first 3 days in the morning, we mentioned this every day. Also, our room only was cleaned on the... more

Stayed at the Palace Hotel for four nights before heading south. Accomodation may not be to everybody's liking, but it's a regular Traveller's Budget Hotel. We didn't look at any other places downtown (only from outside), but this looks like top of the list in the price range. We had a comparatively large room with a balcony, Bathroom was small... more

The Palace Hotel is in a useful location in downtown Amman, within easy walking distance to the Roman Ampitheatre and many recommended shops and restaurants. The room was reasonably priced and relatively quiet despite its central location. It was a little shabby and dark despite the large windows and balcony, probably due to the view looking onto another building. The... more

No doubt that my boyfriend and I will come bace to this hotel. Since we don't like the big hotels, we would like to save money by staying in small hotels like Palace hotel, and just need beds, pillows, breakfast and private shower - er actually found this hotel as a very good one. The staff ws very kind, our... more

My elderly mother, sister and I stayed in the Palace Hotel for four nights in October 2009. We found the staff very pleasant. The amenities were a bit basic - we had cold showers for the first two days of our stay (got a terrible scrape up my back from trying to crouch down to get my head under the... more

I wanted to write a quick to say how much we enjoyed our visit at your hotel. My sister and I visited Jordan in September. Your office staff was patient with us, while we were deciding which tour to book. We talking with the staff. We loved the foam beds- they were confortable after a long day of sightseeing. They... more

I did not stay in the Hotel but organised a tour through them. They were very helpful and tailored the tour to exactly what I was wanting, including picking us up from our hotel near the Dead Sea. The driver was excellent, did not feel rushed (which I've noticed other tours / drivers do), he helped us through border procedures... more

Recently I spent 5 nights at the Palace Hotel, Amman, Jordon. It was very centrally situated in the down town, within easy walking distance of the souks and attractions. Although an old hotel, it was well retained, the rooms were very clean and the communal lounge and dining area well appointed and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly and organized... more
