This hotel is far from worldwide Marriott standard. The rooms are in desperate need of redecoration/renovation. So is the rest of the hotel in general. If all you need is a comfy bed and a nice in-room breakfast, then this hotel is OK. Due to the poor standard, I didn't even want to try out the restaurant... Cannot recommend this... more

I stayed at this hotel in March 2008 and found it very nice. Although it appears tired when you look at it from outside, rooms are clean and renovated. Nice and decorated prayer area and lobby. Early check in: around 11:30 a.m. and late check out: around 4:00 p.m. The only disadvantage I saw is the car parking location. Although... more

This is such a depressing place. While security barricades make one feel somewhat secure, the lobby is as quiet as a morgue, except for a bunch of old men sitting around smoking. I have stayed a many Marriotts around the world, and find this one to be seriously in need of a facelift. The rooms are quiet, and the bed... more

Spent two nights in the Marriott due to a business trip to Riyadh. I was very satisfied with the hotel, and wished I could have spent some more time in the comfortable bed, instead of attending meetings all day (and night) long. To start with, the entrance is well protected against violence. i.e. there is security screening and cars cannot... more

Good Mariott hotel but not well located. Far from downtown (cab necessary - not walking distance) more

Stayed here for a few days this March. The hotel is clean and quiet. It is not really near anything and requires a taxi to get anywhere. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. We ate at the Mosaic a few times. The salad buffet was very nice. It was expensive but had a nice assortment of food including... more

I have stayed with the Marriott on many occasions around the world. I have to say that this Marriott is probably one of the oldest. The decor was ancient but it was clean. From the lobby you wouldn't know how drab the rooms look. They are a good size and the bed is comfortable but the room itself is almost... more

Service I am currently staying in the Mariott Hotel, Riyadh. It was booked through the company where I am working. The 'at your service' option in the Hotel is quite bad and leaves a lot to be desired. In the first few days, I requested for a longer DSL cable for Internet. Someone came back with a electricity plug instead.... more

I stayed at the Riyadh Marriott from July 15-18, thinking it would be standard Marriott quality- certainly not. First, the location. There isn't anything close by/within walking distance, except to say the airport is only ~25-30 minutes by car. To get downtown, it's a 15-25 minute taxi, depending on traffic. The interior of the hotel seems like it's out of... more

This hotel is horrible, it is very old and not worth the price we paid. The room is dull with a very little window and old cupboards and bathroom- think 20 years old. This is not Marriott standard. Tried the breakfast 1out of the 3 days i stayed and it wasn't great plus it cost an extra 80SR!! more
