It's hard to write an objective review when feeling this dejected about a hotel.
The Tulip Inn in Olaya doesn't fair well in my books... the rooms are in poor condition - in my room anything from running a tap to flushing the toilet caused an unbearable stench to fill the room, perhaps problem with the sewerage lines?
The door locks were disabled, and the door chain removed - making privacy feel more like a special indulgence than a basic right.
The TV reception is grainy and the channels are unimpressive, the mini-bar stocked with very cheap sugar-water-wanna-be-fruit-juice imitations.
The bed and linen are uninviting, and at dawn will regurgitate you feeling lice-ridden and dirty.
