We initially chose this hotel due to being the only decent hotel we could find in central Manama at a reasonable price during Grand Prix week. The room was a good size and had all the usual amenities except a kettle (the hotel cafe on floor 1 does provide hot drinks at all times of day); the view out over the harbour very impressive both during the day and at night. There is a small pool on the top floor of the hotel which is enclosed but uncovered; in our week at the hotel we used the pool daily to cool off after a day wandering in the immense heat (this was only April and the heat gets worse) but didn't see anyone else use it at all. The pool area has an amazing view out over central Manama and its worth being up there both at sunset and during the 'call to prayer' from the local Mosque. There is a nightclub on the top floor of the hotel which could be heard during the night from our room on the 8th floor, however we did not find the noise to be excessive/cause us any problems... more
