I guess there are no free lunches in Manama. its either 3* or expensive proper 5*. Delmon seems to be an old classic in town. Right next to Bab Bahrain. 15 min short drive from Airport. Everybody knows it and when you get there you know why. It has been there since quite a while and both exterior and interior... more

The man at the front door is always very helpful, happy to help. Front desk staff speak English very well. They do and this is strange require you to submit your passport when check-in. You get it back on check-out. Don't know how, perhaps it was warranted a 4 star hotel when it first opened, but it's more like 2... more

Back in the past when times were less hard, hotels had large rooms, large corridors, were silent, & big lifts. The Delmon is like that. It was, around 1970, the best hotel in town. A good reason to look in again. It is no longer the best. Yet it retains those past virtues. It is well placed for the Manama... more

I recently stayed at the Delmon for a 3 night stay. I have stayed in quite a number of 4 star hotels in the middle east and this must be one of the worst. The hotel is very noisy because of the disco/bar downstairs and there are frequent knocks on the door by prostitutes touting for business. The rooms are... more

This was booked through my company for a business trip. Check-in was polite and efficient. Upon arriving in my room, I was horrified by the damp on the walls, the rusting bathroom fittings and the dirty shower curtain. Then, when I saw several pubic hairs in the bath, I decided to leave. I had been there for less than 5... more

This hotel is way overpriced, rooms are maintained for their purpose and that is to accomadate weekend visitors and the good time girls that come with them. Don't expect any sleep before 02:00 due to the non stop music vibrating thru your room , bathrooms poor, facilities poor but surprisingly room service good. Transport to hotel is to suit them,... more

We spent only one night in this hotel in our way back to Amman, with Gulf Air. The room was dirty, there were no towels in the bathroom( which badly needs repair), there was a termos with warm water. The room was dark and some lights were burned. Even if the room was booked by our travel agent 2 weeks prior... more

Due to our flight out of Bahrain being cancelled, Gulf Air kindly offered us a reservation at this hotel as a day guest. The hotel is located right in the City Centre with the Gold Souq approx. 20 steps from the front of the hotel. It is an Arabian 'old' style hotel - quite a number of years old and... more

I spent a night there on business because there were no 5 star hotels available in Bahrain that night. Although the hotel is at a very central location, it needs rennovation. I had to ask reception 3 times before they delivered some water at my room. At the ground floor there are 4-5 clubs to cater mostly for the w/e... more
