Stayed here for 1 night in April 2013. The room was clean and comfortable. There is shopping center in near the hotel, it is convenient for an exchange and shopping. (I could not exchange money at the hotel's front desk.) bad point is that the staff of the front desk was unsociable.

Well situated. Rooms comfortable and clean. Bathrooms well-equipped and modern. Reception staff friendly and helpful and speak sufficient English to deal with any problems. Breakfast better than average (for Iran), but revolving restaurant on 16th floor not recommendable for dinner. I hope they have dismissed the very surly luggage porter who demanded a tip in Euros! Little shop in the... More

Good location in walking distance of former USA Embassy (15 minutes) and Tehran Bazaar (30 minutes). The hotel has some of the air of 20 years ago European hotels but is comfortable, with medium size rooms and a big bathroom. It's clean and the staff very nice. Still the food in the restaurant is not at all the best you... More

I arrived at Forudgah-e Mehr-abad (domestic airpot) from Isfahan at 00.15 and checked in at around 1.00 a.m. At that time it became apparent that there was a discrepancy about number of nights I stay. I asked and payed the travel agency in Tokyo for two nights, but this company reserved just for one night. It's a mistake of this... More

I stayed here for 8 nights in September 2012 and would easily reccomend this hotel to family and friends. The staff are very friendly and most spoke English very well. The staff who didnt speak English were only too happy to find someone who did. Breakfast was great as well. Wide variety of foods including your basic eggs, coffee etc....... More

Stayed four nights as part of a group tour (2 + 2) and found it fully adequate as a base to discover Tehran. Could enjoy two different rooms, one suite very large, the other very small, especially the toilet where I couldn't sit straight because my knees hit the wall in front of it. :-) But all in all, comfortable,... I cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel. Or maybe this is actually a 4 COCKROACH hotel, because I found 4 live cockroaches in my room in less than 2 hours. Asked reception to change room, and guess what, cockroach found on carpet, the moment I walked into the room. Moving on to the next room, another live cockroach... More

Note that there are a couple other reviews under Engelhab Hotel (without the Tehran). Stayed here in January 2009. Compared to Laleh, I like the location a bit better (close to the subway), but it is in poor shape. Pipes are noisy, rooms are beat up (bathrooms newer but in poor shape), breakfast is good but offerings get boring if... More

First of all, I didn't stay at the hotel because there was a mix-up, meaning that I was allocated a room, only to be turfed out to nearby Iranshar Hotel an hour later, which wasn't too bad a thing as the Iranshar was actually nicer and cheaper. I got a contact to reserve a room for me but since I... More

I stayed for 6 horrible nights there in April 2008. The hotel is not good/not bad for Iranian hotel standards The problems I faced where mainly 2: -Cockroaches climbing walls -Air conditioning broken for my full stay, and there was about 30-40 ºC in street with 9% humidity. Rooms were like saunas, it was impossible to sleep The problem with... More
