I stayed at the resort for one night as part of a trip to see the turtles nesting on the beach. The turtle were amazing. The resort was basic, to say the least. I had higher expectations, so I was disappointed, but providing you know what you're going to get, I'm sure the accomodation is ok. The hut my friend... more

A great stay in a fantastic little resort. Excellent beach, although small. Fishing, snorkelling, dolphin and turtle watching can be arranged through the hotel with their contacts. The Turtle Beach Resort is a small compound on the edge of a crystalline bay at Ras al Hadd, on the furthest eastern corner of Oman. The resort consists of a series of "barasti huts" (palm-frond or reed-covered huts) laid out in a formation that, well, evokes certain prison camps. They are, however, a bit cute, too.
