it was a very great experience to stay in Hotel Majan continental, the staff was soo caring about the guest and i enjoyed the Health center facilities.the food was good.it was a bit disturbance in the night due to Live band perfomance but it in managble. My over all stay was very good. more

An appalling hotel, don’t let this hotel stain your stay in this beautiful country. I spend ½ my year in hotels and I’ve never been so outraged. Only stayed one night due to booking issue with Holiday Inn. Wished we stayed here for full duration. Nice pool clean large room. Inclusive breakfast was reasonable and dinner acceptable if service a bit hap hazard. "Russian" bar a bit odd with 5 awful Karaoke Russian singers. more

We got to the hotel with our internet booking and the receptionist did not recognise the rates at which we booked and said the rate was impossible for him to match. We raised it with the manager and it was okay. The place is big and the halls and the room are quiet with a good view from the window.... more

I actually didn't stay at this really useless hotel for the following reason: they cancelled our confirmed reservation! This was three weeks after our initial contact with them directly... at which point they cancelled our reservation stating that the hotel was fully booked! Not even sure that is a good hotel policy...to cancel your own confirmed guests. So, beware...you might... more

Location: MUST hire a car from Seeb Airport otherwise you'll regret it! Directly opposite the massive Sultan Qaboos Stadium. Near the Royal Hospital and behind the Magnificent Grand Mosque which has the backdrop of wonderful mountains. Car Hire: Must have a valid credit card. Hertz gave the most daily Km allowance. Majan was easy enough to find in Muscat, a little out of the way but Muscat is spread out in any case. Checkin staff were friendly, hotel room was basic but clean and tidy, pool was OK. Breakfast was adequate. Some noise during the night from other patrons but you can get that in a 5 star hotel. Only complaint... more

The hotel has spacious and clean rooms and staff is friendly. It is not centrally located, so you'll need a rental car to get downtown. Other than that a good 4* choice. more
