I stayed here for 5 days in July 2009, while on business at Al Rayyan TV (just around the corner). It's good value and the service is exceptional with very helpful and friendly staff throughout. The hotel itself is small - just 13 rooms. All the rooms are accessed via a marble floored corridor which runs round the edge of the first floor: they all face "inwards" so no outside windows. So they're a bit dark but nice and cool. The hotel itself is right on the edge of the Souq which is a hive of activity in the evenings. The hotel restaurant is a "fish specialist" and is not strictly part of the hotel although it adjoins. The fish is nice but it doesn't smell too good when you come down to breakfast next morning!! It's also quite pricey so can be a good idea to take a stroll round the souq where there is loads of choice.

All in all, highly reccomended!

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. It's situated in Souq Waqif, a recently renovated area in Doha'sold town, full of spice shops, antique dealers, traditional restaurants and cafes. This is probably Doha's most touristy area, so this hotel is not forr you if you are looking for a quiet retreat since every night, but especially Thursday and Friday nght, the area all around the hotel has thousands of people milling in the cafes and restaurants until at least 4 am in the morning. However, the hotel has superb service, wonderful Arab inspired lobby and rooms, stepping into it is like stepping into a medieval Baghdad caravan .It's not cheap but I really enjoyed my stay. more
