I live in Doha. I needed a place to stay while the place where I intended to rent was being finished in early August, 2007. To put it bluntly, I slept well, but was unimpressed. The rooms are completely average. Nothing special. The service, frankly, is the same. Nothing spectacular at all about the service of the hotel staff. The... more

Ramada was much better than the Marriott simply because: 1) Free wifi in the rooms 2) Cheaper 3) Closer to restaurants (walking distance) 4) Closer to city 5) Wide variety of restaurants in the actual hotel 6) Free use of gym and sauna facilities! more

I've stayed here twice now, once in the old wing and once in the new. The old is ok but for sure the newer is much nicer, large pleasant room and a decent bathroom, flat sceen TV and there is a DVD library not that I've used it. There's a varied selection of restaurants in the two buildings and several... more

I stayed over night at Ramda Doha 2 years ago, it was good room, but weird decor, I really do not know what kind of decoratin it was, room and facitilies of hotel are clean, beds are super comfortable, location is good as it is surrounded with many good fine restaurants, food at hotel is very good too, service is... more

I stayed in the hotel for a month during my assignment in Doha. My stay was reasonably satisfactory. The hotel's location was central, with airport, the city centre, shopping districts within 15-20 min driving distances. A drawback was the traffic in the junction next to the hotel, which made your journey frustrating sometimes. The hotel lobby is bright. The room... more

I stayed two nights at the hotel on business and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is convenient, with very efficient and regular shuttle buses to and from the airport. The hotel has limousine taxis that take you into town for 30 rials (as opposed to 10 rials for a local cab, but when you convert that to GBP... more

This is simply a lovely place to stay , unless you are on a diet. The Japanese and Indian restaurants are astonishingly good , the bedrooms are excellent (apart from shower power which is a bit rubbish) , the service is personal and friendly throughout , and as has been mentioned the pool areas are superb. Love it. more

Overall this hotel was OK. It's big with lots of facilities, including a really nice pool and a great Indian restaurant (Chingari). There are a couple of buts, though. The room we had was well-appointed but had the ugliest decor and furnishings I have ever seen, and I've been in a lot of hotels. After 3 days I was beginning... more

Just back from a 14 night stay in the Ramada Plaza Doha and can provide an update and more detailed review than before. The hotel has an east and west wing. The newer, deluxe rooms and executive floor in the east wing are very large and themed as Arabian, Indian, Japanese or "contemporary". The Arabian and Indian themes are exotic... more

The Ramada Hotel is one of the better hotels in Doha. It is not as flashy as the Marriott, which is far more expensive, but is has a much more natural feel about it and offers a high standard of room. There are a large number of restaurants, all of which offer high quality food. The Japanese restaurant is especially... more
