I should have known better when the Taxi driver at Doha did not know the hotel!. On arrival the hotel reeked of curry (not good after an overnight flight) and the desk staff were downright rude. Despite claiming to be in the city centre the above hotel Shezan is some 6-8 kilometres away - in a dusty suburb with lots of construction nearby. Also the photographs and description on websites bear little resemblance to what I found.
