i stayed during sept. 09 it was really great experience , they opened brand new building with very nice new rooms and comfort beds , It met my expectations in every way. Spent a few days at this hotel and was generally very satisfied. It was very cheap (most likely due to being the off season). I wouldn't say it is a five star hotel, more like four stars. We spent three nights at this hotel in December, 2008. At that time, we were paying more than $500 USD a night for a room that had intermittent hot and cold water, reeked of cigarette smoke, and had miserable dining options. This hotel is no way a 5 star hotel. The rooms are dated and not the cleanest either. The aircondition in my room was so noisy that I did not manage to sleep properly and the TV channel choice is a joke. The food choice in the "Grand Dining" restaurant was poor and the restaurant itself looks like a waiting... more

I stayed over night at Grand Regency hotel Doha last October, location is not special, everything else is excellent, rooms are very clean, comfortable, bathroom has everything you may need, food is excellent, service is very good too, free wireless internet, free newspapers, nice lobby,overall when I go back to Doha I will choose this hotel again. more
