I stayed here with some friends at the beginning of December. We had intially decided to stay 2 nights but we loved the hotel so much we stayed longer. The hotel rooms are clean and nicely appointed, the bathrooms are functional. The hotel has the most beautiful foyer with fabulous wood carvings and inlay-very traditional. But what sets this hotel... more

The location is great about 10 minutes walking distance to the old city (the street of Damascus are very safe even at night) The rooms are cleans, maybe a little small, but good price. The hotel is very beautiful with good breakfast and advice from the staff. I totally recommand it. more

A great hotel for two women traveling alone. We were comfortable walking in the neighborhood and it was a great location. Close to the big market and the Museum, we had not problem finding or walking to where we wanted to go and were able to find plenty of taxis when we needed to go farther. Families would be welcome... more

Stayed here mid-November for a long weekend. The place is decorated in beautiful traditional style, with marbled floors and inlaid gilt walls everywhere you look. Room felt more like a suite. Great location just a couple of minutes from national museum and 5 minutes from Old City. Extremely accommodating staff who went out of their way to help us solve... more

I thought the hotel was really charming. It was only 10 minutes walk from the old city and the manager and his staff could not have been more helpful from start to finish - helping us with our onward plans and transfers etc. The breakfast was typical syrian and excellent and the rooms were clean and light. All in all... more

Although by no means luxurious, the rooms are clean and the hotel is well located, being about 10 minutes walk from the Old City, and close to restaurants and other amenities. The service is always friendly and the hotel is good value for money. The rooms can be noisy, however. more

Friendly, english-speaking staff that will go an extra mile to help you, (airport pick-up, arrange meals for you, give information about sights etc). Spotless rooms, located close to the Old City and the Souk. Was our first visit to Damascus, and I think we were very lucky with our choice of hotel - highly recommended! more

The positive reviews we'd read about this place were absolutely right. From the moment we walked into the beautiful lobby we knew we'd picked the right place. It was very clean, the breakfast in the morning was typical Syrian food and just delicious, and the staff was very friendly (welcoming us with beverages in our room when we arrived at... more

It was our first visit to Damascus (visiting son and daughter-in-law who are studying at the University) and we were quite exited about going there. This hotel was just perfect. Very friendlyl and helpful staff, good location (close to everything) and a clean room, and it is real value for money. If we go back, we would definately stay at... more
