We had intended to stay at Hotel LP Columbus whilst in La Paz, but due to a mistake of mine (gave them the wrong date would you believe!!) and at the recommendation of the LP Columbus reception staff, we ended up staying at the El Dorado instead. I've stayed at the El Dorado more than 20 times in the past four years. I have to travel through La Paz for work, and even though there are so many other hotels to choose from, I always come back to El Dorado. The best part of the hotel is the staff and customer service. Stayed 2 nights in October 2006. Room big enough and clean. The furnishings were tired and getting well past their economical use by date. Still beds were clean and comfortble. Service was great - asked for additional pillows ans towels and they were delivered within minutes. Breakfast was good wholesome and healthy with great portions.
