Chose this hotel by recommendation from a Bolivian friend. It was supposed to be one of the best hotels in La Paz. Arrived in the night and was given a room on the 10th floor. This was a great hotel. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and the location was excellent. View from our room was really nice of the main boulevard. Breakfast was great and we had no complaints! more

while the Plaza Hotel is well located and clean, beware of deceptive pricing. Everything is in Bolivianas, as expected, EXCEPT the laundry. I thought I was paying a very reasonable 64 bolivianas (about 10 USD) to have a couple of pairs of pants, shirts and undies laundered at the hotel, and since it was Carnaval and virtually everything in town... more

We stayed here and paid US$100 a night - on the upside the room was quite nice (located on 9th floor), the breakfast buffet impressive (by Bolivian standards), the top floor floor restaurant serving decent food at relatively cheap prices and free internet The downside is the crappy service you get - we had water leaking out of the lightbulbs... more

This hotel has very good position in center, the price was $50 for 5star, the quality responded to the price, I recommend it, I had beautiful view to the mountiens more

we paid a weekend rate of $40 per night..but you had to stay for a min of two nights...more like a 3 star than a five...cold rooms..and medicore breakfast...but again for 40 us you can go too far wrong more

At $65/night (give them the name of your employer and ask for the corporate rate), this hotel is a great value--spacious rooms, comfortable beds, ideal location.
