The Charleston Hotel in Bogota is lovely ! Very chic, wonderful service, very well located. The larger rooms are outstanding. Beautiful flowers you name it. The restaurant at the hotel is very, very good as well. The surrounding neighborhood has very good restaurants and excellent, interesting shopping. Colombia is great country. more

The Charleston is highly over-rated and over-priced, far better is the Sofitel next door or the Bogota Plaza not far away. The place seems to be managed by well-meaning but underachieving 20-year-olds. The rooms do not match the pictures on the hotel's web page, setting-up guests for a major disappointment upon arrival.
