Look, this is definitely not a place to stay for "expats". Put it this way - the sheets were dirty, there was a used condom in the shower recess and the door was not properly lockable. we didnt have any way to call to book another room for the next 2 nights cause there was no phone book in the room and we had no phone. So pretty much for the 3 nights we stayed there we blockaded the door with furniture except the bed because the woman at the front desk said she feared we would be broken into and robbed. Definitely locked away everything when we went out in the safe.
There is a nightclub (Magila Gorilla Club), full of prostitues, on site. Reasonably cheap beer. It is in a VERY rough part of POM. You cant walk around unescorted during the day, and even PNGeans dont walk around after 6pm for fear of raskols (not even 100 m down the road). Not as rough as say KilaKila but pretty bad!

No internet, No phone (they werent even selling telikads there). Crap... more
