I stayed here with colleagues on a voluntary aid trip from Australia to provide heart surgery to Tongan patients. There were lots of us and the staff coped really well. Definitely take a guided tour - this ranges between TONG40.00 (group tour) -TONG120.00 (personal tour) - the locals know the place better. I did not get the opportunity to visit the other islands, but have heard that Va'avau is very very pretty. The Houma Blowholes blew me away - they go right down the coast line, its fantastic. more
