The Kaiviti is a small self catering motel very close to Port Vila centre, we easily walked into town with our 6 and 9 year olds. Staying self catering appeals to us because we can eat when and what we want. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment over 2 floors, which has everything you need, but be prepared that... more

As a family of 5 with 3 teenagers (14,15,16) we spent 3 nts in a 2 bedroom apartment which took up 2 levels with views of the pool area, the harbour and sunsets. At $170 per night for 5 adults we considered it great value. Clean towels were supplied daily and when we requested a plug it was given in... more

The Kaiviti Motel was cheap, basic accommodation. We booked via the www.vanuatu-hotels.vu website. It turned out okay, but we had to pay the full price before we even arrived. The room we were in was shabby, and there was little privacy as it was a ground floor room with a big picture window. (The 1st floor rooms with balconies looked... more

My girlfriend and I moved to Port Vila for change of lifestyle, we stayed at the Kaiviti for 6 months, while building our own place. In that time there was a change of ownership. The new owners are great and have grand plans for their Motel. They are putting the money into the place, that has been needed for years.... more

This place is a basic 2star sort of hotel but it is not bad and is a well run hotel with the advantage of being close to the city and shops. The staff were friendly and the new owners seem motivated to improve the place over time. The rooms lack much in terms of decor and they are definitely not... more

I'd just arrived from an outer island of Vanuatu, went looking for mid-range accommodation and found myself at the Kaiviti Motel, Port Vila. The Lonely Planet Guidebook suggested the Kaiviti boasted air-conditioning, a pool and TV. I wasn't really all that interested in the TV, (luckily as it turned out there was none), though it would have helped to while... more

Basic accommodation, beds lumpy, bathroom and kitchen old. Lots of mould and tired looking furniture. Not really quite sure how sanitary it was. Couldn't sleep in past 6am as traffic woke us up. Great location if you're not fussed by asthetics. Wouldn't go back. more

Excellent value for the price and location We have just returned from 9 days in vanuatu we stayed the first 3 days in the kaiviti Village Motel and spent the next 4 days touring around to other places staying at similar accommodation, then returned for the last 3 days of our holiday. None of them came close to the Kaiviti... more

We stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment recently. Had a lovely time. Because we travel a lot we have to mix accommodation types so that we can stay away longer. This is a budget motel, clean, friendly and secure. We had our own kitchen, and view from room 24 over pool to harbour was beautiful. You wouldn't hang around... more
