I stayed at the Blue Pango for 5 nights in Nov 2007,but I have to respond to the 2 scathing reviews that I have just noticed about this Motel. My experience was completely the opposite to theirs.I booked directly with Solomon Lee and the daily rate was about $40AUD.He picked me up from the airport,no charge, sure his English isnt the best... more

Booked for 12 days, stayed 4. I have visited Vanuatu 9 times and this is by far the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in, anywhere. Check In: Owner speaks little English . Pushed a key at me and pointed to room. Room: Self contained - 2 gas rings, mismatched cutlery and plates, table and chairs, not accessible due to... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Blue Pango for 10 days and loved it! It is right by the ocean, although there is not really a beach, but you can hear the waves and the beach isn't too far away. Also there is a large, clean swimming pool. The rooms are just the right size and come with everthing you... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Blue Pango with Solomon and his lovely family for 3 weeks in January 2009. We absolutely fell in love with Vanuatu and it's people, Blue Pango was the perfect base for us to go and explore the island. Being a young couple we prefer to spend money on a longer stay rather than expensive... more

I first arrived in Vanuatu in December 2007 with no accomodation booked. I prefer to find the exact location I like after I arrive. There are beautiful places to stay, but they are usually more than $200 US per night, and I do not see the point in paying that much for a bed. I go overseas to immerse myself... more

We arrived by taxi, looked around our room, at the ceiling fan totally black with mould, the bathroom putrid with mould and grime, the walls smeared with dirt, the ?stove looking like an old landmine, and borrowed a phone and called the taxi back. Solomon refused to refund our money, and wasnt that concerned about our complaints. You cant even... more

Small, cheap, clean, this place would have been very good (considering the price) if they didn't have very different attitudes to how to treat animals than we do. Their poor dog was chained 24 hours a day 7 days a week - on a very short chain, I often found it without water (licking the roof off the small kennel... more

Just spent a week at Blue Pango, enjoyed it and will return. It cost AU$36 per night (for seven nights) to accommodate one to two people in a self contained room featuring a bathroom, fan, aircon and free airport transfers. It costs a little more per night if you stay less than seven nights. The room was smallish but clean... more

My partner and I recently visited the motel to look it over for a future stay. I was looking for somewhere close to the surf and you don't get much closer. From your front door to the water would be no more than 20 metres. The entry to the water might be a bit tricky due to the rocky shoreline... more
