We spent one night at Governors Residence, enjoyed the wonderful pool and garden, before flying back to europe... A perfect place to Relax in the middle of Rangoon! The Rooms are spacious, modern and with traditional materials furnished, the breakfast and dinner was delicious. The staff was always smiling and helpful. A Perfect choice! more

I stayed at this hotel during the uprising of the monks in Rangoon. It was a wonderful experience. The staff were great all the way through and even when a curfew was imposed, it was business as usual. My first choice of hotel in Rangoon. more

A wonderful property in Yangon, set a quiet part of the city. As you enter, the pool is as inviting as the beautifully appointed rooms. more

Stayed only one night but what a joy. Beautiful bedroom but with a shower only - strange. Had dinner in the garden surrounded by illuminated hand painted umbrellas. Food is quite excellent. Stay here if you get the chance. more

The hotel is located in an quiet area and has only about 45 rooms, so you can have a relaxing stay and a lot of privacy. We stayed there only three nights, one at the beginning of our Myanmar trip... more

we thought this was just great - nice quiet location in the centre of Yangon but an easy taxi ride to Scots market or wherever we wanted to go. The restaurant was outstanding and we had little doubt but to have dinner at the hotel in a great setting. Go for one of the tables out by the pool -... more

We stayed towards the end of December and had a really nice time. It seems that everything is in harmony in this hotel. It is the perfect escape to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Yangon - there is so much to see! The garden and swimming pool are great places to relax with your other half as... more

At our arrival at the airport of Yangon unfortunately our baggage never came on the baggage claim, it stayed at the Airport in Bangkok. Not a good start for our trip to Myanmar but everything became alright as soon as we arrived at The Governor's Residence. The staff and even the General Manager, Mr. Bissig, took care of our lost... more
