We stayed there at the beginning and at the end of our Myanmar-Roundtrip for one night at a time. On the first stay almost everything was perfect, friendly stuff and manager, well done rooms and nice pool. The early breakfast at the next morning was brought to the room. We had to set the table by our own. The bread... more

Based on the hotel's own website and the trip advisor rating for this hotel, I could not have wished for anything more suited for my stay in Yangon. The hotel is absolutely lovely. Teak floorboards and antique furniture create a wonderful historic ambience. BUT: The location is not ideal. It takes almost 2 hours to walk downtown to the Strand... more

Savoy Hotel is an excellent boutique hotel in Yangon. Rooms are cozy, spacious, modern and clean. Facilities are fantastic and the hotel has a great swimming pool. The building itself is a colonial house, which is full of small, tasteful details. Management is fantastic and hotel staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast was perfect, in a small, cozy area of the... more

It has the style of a colonial gentlemans club. Dark with wood panelling interior compared to the glass marble and chrome of modern hotels but if its old style you want this does it perfectly. Nicely decorated, excellent service, good size rooms, varied good breakfasts, nice pool area. A tranquil oasis in the middle of the city as its not... more

We stayed for one night here with our 2 young children. The hotel is beautifully done, with antiques everywhere. The service was great too. Since we had to check out early, they packed us a breakfast that we ate at the airport (croissants, boiled eggs, etc.). The rooms are pretty spacious. And it is nice to have a pool to... more

I spent 6 nights at the Savoy and would recommend it to anyone. Very efficiently managed, spotlessly clean, with very friendly and helpful staff. I did not have a single problem all week. Good location - $2 (10 mins) by taxi to downtown and less to the unbelievably impressive Shwedagon pagoda. Top value for money! more

Savoy is a wonderful boutique hotel with nice service and large rooms. However, it is located a crossroad, and earplugs are needed in the morning from 6am if you want to sleep. I've visited The Governer's Residence, and if you can afford some extra money, this has all the advantages of Savoy -and is even one level up- and is... more

Having read all the positive reviews on the Savoy in TA and also seeing it featured in brochures we decided reserve it for a stay over New Year prior to travelling up country. Can confirm all the positive comments. The airport pickup was efficient and our evening check-in was friendly and quick and being a small “boutique” hotel our luggage... more
