My adult daughter and I stayed two nights when we first got to Tbilisi and were pleased - all though the price has gone up a bit from the other poster's experience. After a trip to Ani we tried a different place and didn't like it; by the time we got to Dzveli Urbani they were full but the night guy sent us a good place down the road. The next day we ran into the night guy who had come to make sure we made it OK. On our next pass through Tbilis we didn't hesitate to go back.
It's a quite plain but nice place. The staff is extremely friendly, though English is only really spoken by the one woman. The others just try hard (night guy speaks German). I enjoyed the breakfast which varied just a bit every day.
I like the location, just off Rustaveli; so many places right there.
