it is refreshing to find a hostel with local expertise but no pushing their tours / guides etc . It is very clean,our room was quiet and spacious, with air conditioning. Breakfast was as expected basic but quite adequate. more

Extraordinarily clean, nice and helpful staff. Not sure why the latest version of Lonely Planet said staff can be gruff. Everyone that we met was really, really nice. Nice little establishment that is accustomed to back packers and those on a tight budget. Has many large 3,4, and 6 bed rooms for groups. Internet is available, there are en-suite rooms but there is no roof to these so morning bowel movements are audible to all! The location of Luna is great. It's an easy walk to the Egyptian Museum, and lots of other sites, and our balcony looked out over Talaat Harb, a very busy street, which was neat.
