Dear Everyone. Hotel Luna is a 20 Star Hotel :) It's not posh and distinguished or anything of the kind. In fact you might have trouble finding the place if it's your first visit but I would definitely recommend it if you're in Cairo as a tourist. Located in an old building inside a narrow alley squeezed between the enormous,... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Luna twice during our stay in Egypt. The owner was very helpful to us, helping us organise tours, but without being unnecessarily pushy, as so many other people were in Egypt. The tour guide he helped us find for our trip to Giza and Saqqara was great. The rooms were clean, the beds... more

The staff was helpful, after we got away from the guy trying to sell us a tour. We stayed on the quiet side of the hotel (I think they call it the Oasis side?), but I'm not sure I would call any place in Egypt quiet. The beds were comfortable, and everything was clean, but the shower was awful. It... more

This hotel is very clean.. the rooms are very nice.. and it's quite cheap. However, the staff (one especially) were useless.. For example when I asked for information on what bus to take to Giza the guy laughed and pushed the hotel's tour on us saying that tourits don't take buses and besides, he didn't know the bus numbers... nor... more

Extraordinarily clean, nice and helpful staff. Not sure why the latest version of Lonely Planet said staff can be gruff. Everyone that we met was really, really nice. Booked a taxi through them to see pyramids, the driver was also really nice, even asked if we needed to buy water before tourist sites so we wouldn't get stuck with high... more

Nice little establishment that is accustomed to back packers and those on a tight budget. Has many large 3,4, and 6 bed rooms for groups. Internet is available, there are en-suite rooms but there is no roof to these so morning bowel movements are audible to all! Can be slightly noisy with streets down below despite being 4-5 floors up.... more

This hotel is located on the busy main street of Talaat Harb which makes it convenient to do some shoe shopping. The rooms are basic with nothing much to mention. However, our shower pressure was extremely low which made showering difficult. The breakfast was basic (bread, one hard boiled egg, and some juice). The hotel operators were friendly though which... more

The location of Luna is great. It's an easy walk to the Egyptian Museum, and lots of other sites, and our balcony looked out over Talaat Harb, a very busy street, which was neat. The room was clean, but the bathroom needed a scrubbing. It was pretty gross. I wouldn't trust them to pick you up from the airport. They... more
