This hotel is nasty, dirty and lots of mosquitoes, we stayed there for 5 nights and our first night was terrible, we woke up in the middle of the night because of the smell of gas and we didn't know where it was coming from, we slept w/ the door open to minimized the smell. Bathroom was dirty w/ molds... more

When we bought our tour we were given the chance to choose between a 5 star hotel (for our one night stay in Cairo) or a 4 star, we didn't want to risk it, so chose the "5 star". What they didn't mention was that the supposedly 5 star hotel is sooooooo OLD. The room was big, but outdated everything:... more

I stayed in this scam with my wife and mother in law. It was there first visit to Cairo. Due to the world cup being played in Cairo we couldn't find a hotel easily. We stayed in the oasis for 2 nights but couldn't extend our stay. So we moved to this one for 1 night and we were lucky... more

I booked this hotel rather hastily as I only had a couple of days before I would be leaving the Sinai coast and heading to Cairo. It was listed as a 5 star and came up at about £66 for 3 nights B & B. After booking I then started to read Trip Advisor and was beginning to regret my... more

Stayed for one night while in Cairo. Wow reception area very plush as was the grounds. Stunning in fact. After check in, a 'buggy' took us to our room, feeling very excited how clean and wonderful the area was, we couldnt wait to get inside to see the room. Well.......as soon as we went into the building for the room,... more

Lets start with the facts: Hotels in Egypt are rated locally and hotels rated as 5* there would not be equivalent to hotels in the UK or USA. So, if you are expecting something akin to that then look again. Having read reviews before we left, I was a little apprehensive before arriving. THis was a base hotel chosen by... more

June 2009 we stayed for 2 nights prior to our tour. It is not a bad hotel but definately upgrade your room. The basic ones are dreadful but the ones around the pool are good. The pool is terrific. Out touring all day in the heat and the dessert, that pool is the highlight of the day. It's Huge and... more

this hotel is very old that lacks maintenance. i assume it recieved 5 stars rating when it was initially opened, but now it is worth 3 stars. the location is next to sewage and runoffs ,so be careful from mosquetos, and far from downtown. the roads that lead to the hotel are small and urban. the breakfast buffet was average... more

We have just spent 9 days in various hotels around Egypt and this was the only hotel we did not like. Our room was extremely basic and nowhere near 5 star standard. We spent two nights hiding under bedsheets as there was a terrible problem with mosquitos, I have counted 36 bites just to my face (see photo)!!! I have... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group, both at the beginning and end of our tour. To be honest, I liked it! I haven't stayed in a true 5 star hotel before, so maybe that helps? I found the bathroom, towels and bed sheets clean. No problem with mosquitoes but maybe that is due to the... more
