Cheap and clean hotel in a nice neighborhood. But, beware the tours organized by the hotel are much too expensive. The staff is kind, but that kindness has a purpose! The hotel is situated in the islamic part of Cairo. Very nice to walk through. A taxi to the Tharir square cost about 15 pound(1,80 euro). The famous Khan al... More

We wanted to experience the authentic life in Cairo and not stay in a luxurious but main stream hotel. We were not disappointed with choosing Arabian Nights. The hotel is placed in the old Islamic part of Cairo. The neighbourhood is old and shabby, but if you want to experience the authentic life in Cairo, this is a part of... More

Stayed with Arabian Nights Hostel for 3 nights at the end of January 2013. Not only did they surpass our expectations in accommodations, they win the hospitality award in my books. The hostel rooms are clean and well maintained, the shower in our room did require a hose, but other than that the room was great. Enough heat and blankets... More

Excellent hotel, the location is very convenient for many tourist sights, often more convenient than down town. Excellent breakfast on the roof terrace. Slightly more expensive, but rooms and facilities are better than down town hostels.

I booked with my family back in May 2012. At first it was a shock to see how run down the area is and we thought we were staying in a flea bag motel. Don't judge a book by its cover. As we should have known, being ignorant Americans, Egypt is a very poor country. Much of the country even... More

We had a wonderful stay at Arabian nights. The hotel is located 10min away walking from Khan el Khalili market, in a very local and lively neighborhood. The staff (Mohammed and Hassan in Reception, and the guy who prepares the breakfast) are really nice, welcoming and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity on the breakfast, as... More

This is a great hotel if you're looking to explore and experience Islamic/Medieval Cairo. It's worth noting what to expect, however: if you have no experience with this part of town or with similar cities, keep in mind that the neighbourhood can be very dirty and messy. While the hotel itself is on a little street without much car traffic... More

My partner and I really enjoyed our time at Arabian Nights. It is difficult to find a quiet hotel where the street noise won't keep you awake in the night. Because the hotel is in a quiet street you can have a nice and quiet street. The rooms are really clean. They picked up my partner from the airport. The... More

despite of the calm area Not sure how people can be voting this so high, this really is one of the worst hotels I've ever been in. I'm only giving it a two because the rooms are actually ok. Clean and quite nice for the price you pay.... However the breakfast was really the worst I've ever seen...disgusting and there... More
